Review on 🏠 Heng's Rubber Roof Coating - 1 Gallon: Ultimate Solution for Roof Protection by Nick Andep

Excellent product with amazing results.

I did a lot of research before buying this product. I had completely re-roofed two previous motorhomes, so for the first time I only had to re-roof one. I have a 40ft pusher so based on other reviews I figured I needed a 3 gallon. They arrived quickly but all three jars were damaged in transit. Don't worry as the jars are sealed with a plastic ring that won't come off without serious effort. I started by taking my RV to an RV wash and pressure washing it as clean as possible. I then removed all the old sealant from everything and replaced all the vents. Then I cleaned the roof again by hand with Simple Green and water. Based on previous experience I sealed all straight and square edges with Eternabond and used new sealant to overlap the vent, satellite and antenna. In final prep, I gave the roof a final wipe to remove any remaining debris and taped the clothing around the edges of the van. I used a disposable paint tray and started by rolling the edges with a 3" roller with 1/2" nap. The consistency of Heng's is almost like latex paint, so it's very easy to apply. I then switched to a standard 9 inch roller and finished the first coat which took about 1 1/2 gallons. If you look closely at the photos you can see a small amount of black showing through after the first coat. I let it dry overnight. and came back the next day to add a second coat of paint that cost over a gallon more. As you can see from the photos it came out amazing. After all that was said and done I had about 1/4 gallon left. Total prep time was probably 3-4 hours and applying the product took around 1.5 hours for the first coat and 45 minutes for the second. I just can't say enough good things about this product, it totally exceeded my expectations. Like me, I hesitated, there was no more waiting.
