I'm used to stretching vampire lines. Instead, they screw in/out to engage the spike. This has advantages and disadvantages. Spring wire is faster but is better at penetrating tough wire (like old car wire that has become tough due to the weather). The wires can be completely unscrewed and used as long needle probes. The wires feel well built and made of good plastic, and the 22AWG wire used in the detachable wires is nice and flexible. Unfortunately, the cable ends look a bit cheap, so I'm deducting a star.
