I bought this item because of the good reviews. I live in Chicago and work in North Aurora, driving down Butterfield Road every day. The only thing I know is that you can't rely on this device because I drive past a lot of police cars and this device never alerts me. All the tickets I've received in the past have happened when police cars were going in the opposite direction or when a police car was parked in a parking lot. I tested this device on both occasions and it didn't warn me at all, meaning I would be fined if I wasn't within the speed limit. When it comes to red light cameras they work great but I don't need red light camera alerts because I know where the cameras are, I see them every day. There are also many false warnings. My opinion - buy and test. If you're looking for a windshield block holder that doesn't exist, buy Scotch Gorilla.
