folks - read the descriptions. First of all, the scoops I got were 1/2 cup, which is a pretty basic unit of measure, and for a serving size, a cup is actually a lot, Americans are so insanely skewed about what a "serving" is, no wonder. Weight is such an issue these days, but I digress. For the brown sugar holder - I don't have a dedicated oxo holder and bought it knowing that, and guess what? You can just throw it in the container! Wow! Just like putting a piece of bread or an apple in it to add a little more moisture (it adds moisture instead of removing it like some reviewers thought and got mad it didn't work ๐) and yes, exactly like that if replacing an apple slice or bread slice, you should re-wet it by leaving it in the water for 15 minutes and then dabbing it dry. Again people get mad you didn't even wet it and it lasts forever. That's not how life works, welcome to the grown-up table where you have to keep things going. For anyone finding it too difficult to wet and grind the wheel, I recommend just making your own brown sugar on the spot - add a teaspoon or two of molasses to the sugar, stir and bam - instant brown sugar . use your heads Folks, be reasonable in your expectations, learn a trick or two, and both the scoop and the slice of brown sugar will serve you well.
