This is the second set I've bought and I think it's a great deal on a pair of heavy duty Anderson 350 amp plugs! I was always nervous when helping someone who was stuck and had to jump. Why? Because sparks + hydrogen sulfide gases = explosion! To minimize this possibility and eliminate the possibility of the battery connector cables shorting out during the initial connection process, I chose to install one of the Anderson connectors on the battery cables and attach the other connector to the fender. in the engine compartment and connect directly to the battery and engine ground. In this way, you rule out a short circuit in the connecting cables. When connecting, remember to connect the clamps to the machine first, and then connect the Anderson connectors. When disconnecting, first disconnect the Anderson connector and then the battery terminals.
