I've been wearing the Asics Gel-Kayano for years now - literally 30+ pairs as I train a lot. I have slightly flat feet and a slight pronation. Unfortunately, the last few pairs of Kayanos gel shoes were nagging at my feet and I had to tape them off in a few places to avoid blisters. The final straw was a manufacturing defect that caused the heel collar to collapse and rendered them unusable for several weeks after purchase. (Known issue, according to our local Asics store.) So I finally had the motivation to find an alternative. I have a few of these and I will never go back. They're at least as supportive as Asics, comfortable as slippers right out of the box, and my first pair wears way better than Asics has ever worn. This is my second pair so I can switch shoes. To be honest, I wish I had made the switch a few years ago. It is so good.
