Review on Infinity 60CSX Component Speaker System by Mike Marks

Update: I added 2" midrange (20m) making them 3 way and a 10" subwoofer from JL Audio and now absolutely nothing is missing . From Dave Matthews to Kendrick Lamar, the Lamb of God and everything in between, it doesn't disappoint. They sound great on their own, but with the mids and subwoofer included, the sound quality is phenomenal. Better than headphones. I swapped out the head unit and amp in a 2018 Tundra without a JBL Crewmax. I figured I could get by with Infinity's reference coax setup for the front speakers by adding some new Dash speakers. It sounded harsh and I couldn't get it right. I gave in and went with that set of components and removed all the dash speakers. The installation is of course a bit more complicated. I chose to fit a surface mount tweeter on the sail panel which works great and despite being so small doesn't really look out of place. So my initial setup is a 4 channel 75W RMS amp versus a Kenwood DMX 907 and Infinity Kappa 6.5 components up front. It sounded great. I was going to return the coax pair but chose to bring them back. What is the difference of replacing all the speakers. Sounds insanely good. I don't have a subwoofer, but I get powerful mid-bass and incredible clarity. After changing the rears I got better than expected (within reason without a subwoofer), the bass too. I soundproofed my doors but I didn't use rings and this thing is off the charts. Very happy with the result. Definitely worth the money. And I'm just using the factory wiring with a couple of adapters for ease of installation. Highly recommended, but you need an amplifier and need to use noise reduction. I've used cheap stuff from Home Depot and it works great. Just search on youtube. I'm sure the pros won't approve of my choice of soundproofing, but it definitely does its job perfectly and costs a lot less.
