Description of Infinity 60CSX Component Speaker System

Infinity’s glass fiber woofer cones are lighter and stiffer with more cone-area than the competition , delivering increased low-frequency output and higher efficiency. Edge-driven textile dome tweeters - These are not commonly used W-domes, but edge-driven textile dome speakers that will deliver broader and smoother high frequency response. High output 2.5 ohm ohm architecture with low impedance voice coils enables the speaker to extract every watt from the amplifier and deliver peak power with ease. Infinity speakers have to undergo a testing process that would destroy lesser speakers. Infinity freezes them, bakes them, shakes them, blasts them with ultraviolet light and drives them at full power for days at a time. Infinity is in the business of designing reference quality speakers, and Kappa car audio speakers are no exception.

Great front stage combined with 2 " midrange drivers

I installed them in front of my Q50 with additional 2" midrange drivers. If professionally installed with amplifier and DSP, the sound quality would be amazing. They offer plenty of mid-range bass from the 6.5-inch models. Just make sure they are installed with speaker baffles using Dynamat (or similar) and proper mounting hardware. I throw them around 100 watts RMS to keep them sounding their best.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Outdoor

Don't think because it's new everything works.

These speakers were purchased and installed by professionals. It was the crossovers that were bad. So I had to replace and get a different crossover as it was a set and to keep the whole infinity it was annoying that it was brand new and we found we needed a new part even though this set is brand new and was complete. Not as much . Once you use a different crossover, the speakers sound amazing in a 2005 Mercedes C240. I had to add an amplifier to the system. I used a 1500 watt amp.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Ok

Not what you're looking for

You might get the wrong impression that you're getting four speakers and two tweeters. It's not relevant. You get two speakers and two tweeters with additional hardware to make those speakers and tweeters sound better. Where you're going to keep that extra gear in your car is a good question. After I cut the speakers to fit my original brackets I can't get them back and now I have this extra hardware and two tweeters that I wanted to plug into the front of my sound system. and not on the back…

Pros
  • practical item
Cons
  • I don't really like it, it's ok

Phenomenal - Tundra Not JBL.

Update: I added 2" midrange (20m) making them 3 way and a 10" subwoofer from JL Audio and now absolutely nothing is missing . From Dave Matthews to Kendrick Lamar, the Lamb of God and everything in between, it doesn't disappoint. They sound great on their own, but with the mids and subwoofer included, the sound quality is phenomenal. Better than headphones. I swapped out the head unit and amp in a 2018 Tundra without a JBL Crewmax. I figured I could get by with Infinity's reference coax setup…

High end budget sound

I would like to highlight the reasons for choosing the Infinity Kappa 60CSX for the front of my 2010 Toyota RAV4. Since it was not possible to test a car radio in today's retail sector, I have to buy one based on research on the Internet. One of the most respected car audio resources is C*****field, unfortunately they don't stock them so I bought @ Revain (but I did buy Hertz Coaxial from them). Good: 1) Efficiency 93 dB - I can do without an external amplifier. 2) Silk dome tweeter. I prefer…

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • New competitors are here

Great Kappa Sound is the worst crossover ever!

I have had many Kappa speakers in different vehicles. I've sold some due to lack of money, others I've sold because car brands stopped installing 6X9 speakers in the rear, making it impossible to install 6.5" bracket components. So I had to settle for coaxes in the back. The sound system I ever advertised was two pairs of Kappa components front and rear! It was very beautiful! For the price of my new journey, I took the risk of buying sleep speakers like PIONEER Top of the Line or second best…

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Useless functions

Never Meet Your Hero

I've always wanted to put Infinity speakers in one of my cars and finally decided to buy one. I've been installing car stereos professionally for a number of years, but it's been around 16 years since I've been in the field and Infinity seems to have radically changed the sonic performance of their component speakers. Infinity speakers from c. 2000-2003 were smooth, with a nice mid-range bass. The highs were detailed but smooth, without a hint of hiss, and the woofers provided ample mids when…
