Review on ๐Ÿ”ช Turwho Professional Cleaver Knife 7.5 Inch - Premium Japanese VG-10 Steel with Classic Damascus Pattern by Dora Feldstein

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Not damascus, laser engraved, but still a great knife!

Knife may be VG10 but it's not real damascus (layers), it's laser engraved. I was pretty expecting that at this price point, so I only deducted a star for the laser-engraved damask pattern. I hope the cutting blade is VG10 because the Damascus part was not told the truth. The knife is sharp, beautiful and well balanced. Very happy with it. I chopped up a whole onion as a test. It's a good weight for slicing onions, but the blade is still very thin and glides easily with good tip control. Slice the onion 80% in one plane, then rotate 90 degrees to slice. Great control over the detail clippings on the first layer and I was able to make rows very close together. Seems a great performance for the price. Exactly the knife I wanted for vegetables. This is NOT a mill. I like this knife, let's see how well it holds up with prolonged use. TBD.BTW, I've attached photos of the "real Damascus" blade and you can see how the layers change direction as the blade has been ground down. Look carefully. Incidentally, the pocket knife was a gift from the knife manufacturer Santa Fe Stoneworks.

Cons
