Was excited to finally try the Kool-Aid induction cooktop and drink. But was very disappointed when it was discovered and the right hand burner was "dead on arrival". For me it's a quality control issue, which means the brand can't be trusted. Too bad. It's a nice, sleek little block. Other things I don't care about are temperatures set in 50 degree intervals tied to power intervals. So going a little up or down is not an option. There is also a fan that runs all the time, which is a little annoying when you are used to a quiet oven. And the "On" button. flashes continuously 24 hours a day, 7 days a week until you turn on the device, then it turns solid red. It heats cast iron almost instantly, although the 10-inch pan is larger than the 8-inch induction zone and the extra pan area on the outside doesn't get as hot as the center. Unfortunately, I was working out of town when I ordered it, and I'd just opened the box, so the 30-day return period had expired, leaving me stuck with a $250 single-burner unit. I can keep it and use a burner or order another. But I think I will not spend good money on any other product from this brand. I might give this three stars or four stars if I had the chance to return it and try again (successfully) but it's not really an option so it's a one star item for me.
