Second CAI installation on my Camaro

I installed a HallTech YellowJacket on my last 5th gen Camaro and I loved the intake but I lost my car because a drunk driver ran into me and my car crashed. For this second installation, I really didn't want to spend $400 on an air intake as I think it's grossly overpriced, so I settled on a K&N Blackhawk, despite fears that the tube would be metal rather than non-heat-conductive material . I really liked that the filter was black (like my car) and that it's a dry type filter so I don't have to constantly clean and oil it (like my Halltech) and I don't have to worry about oil getting in the filter passes sensor air mass flow. Although Halltech was a good quality CAI and I would still recommend it to anyone, I couldn't believe the quality of everything included in this kit. The mandrel-bent powder-coated tubing was excellent, and the heat shield was solid and well-formed metal with no sharp edges. The K&N dry filter was very good and the rubber heat shield and pipe sleeves were strong and of excellent quality and even the hose clamps were black so everything was fine. The instructions were very simple and clear (except for removing the MAF harness connector). My engine sounds a lot better and you can hear the air entering the intake especially at high rpm and my Camaro sounds angrier than ever! At $260 and $140 cheaper than most other CAI brands, this is a great product.
