I have a Husky stool for my desk that has worked well for me when I have to work on electronics, when I have to sit on it for hours soldering or a circuit on a breadboard to test. but the plastic top of the chair had ripped off and I had to replace it. The Husky stool was never really comfortable, and sometimes when things weren't going the way I expected, the stool wasn't the kind to sit down and think on. So I ordered this drafting chair because it looked comfortable and big enough to meet my needs. This chair is really comfortable to sit in because it has a wide seat and the backrest helps a lot. Here are a few things you might want to know: 1) It's advertised as an "adjustable footrest" but is only adjustable in height. Seat surface and distance between seat surface and backrest. 2) It's really big. When fully raised, the top of the seat (not the backrest) is 36 inches off the floor. I'm 6ft 3cm, 220lbs and it's hard for me to climb it when it's at the top. If I lower it from 33 inches to 34 inches, it's perfect. 3) The lowest height is 30 inches (from floor to top of seat) and that is a typical high chair height. 4) It is very easy to assemble. It comes with good instructions but all you need is to place the wheels on the base, screw the mounting plate to the seat with 4 bolts and then simply lay the pieces on top of each other. The whole process takes only a few minutes and does not require any time. second pair of arms 5) It's quite comfortable because the seat is 16 inches wide and the backrest really supports you. I gave it 4 stars because one of the legs seems to be bent. .I think I can probably fix that by installing some shims between the wheel and foot. It doesn't feel unsafe anyway and I wouldn't return it for such a small defect because I'll be using it in my garage. But it would be unacceptable if I used this stool in the house.
