Review on 🐠 Fluval E300 Electronic Heater - 300W Advanced Aquarium Heater for Tanks up to 100 Gallons (A774) by Emily Reyes

Finally a slim heater

First of all I don't get all the 1 star reviews. If "LF" is the problem, it's relatively easy to fix. The most important thing is circulation. in large tanks so that the water has the same temperature everywhere. I've been using this 300w heater for about 3 weeks now and am very impressed so far. I have a 55 gallon fresh water tank with an Eheim canister filter. , which has an inlet at one end of the tank and an outlet through a sprinkler at the other end of the tank. My old heater stopped working properly and my tank temp was around 76.5Β°F until I got a new heater. I followed the instructions to let the heater adjust to the ambient temperature first before connecting it to the power supply. Then set the temperature to 78Β°F. Place it very close to the atomizer, hoping to get the water circulation that this heater needs. 15-20 minutes to heat water. So I moved it into the bubbles of the vent panel on the back of the tank. And voila, the problem with the bass is solved. :) The temperature in my house was fluctuating - Florida spring weather is unpredictable and my house constantly fluctuates between 68 and 78. The heater keeps the temperature within half a degree of the set value at all times. Setting the temperature with the rotary knob on the top and the digital temperature display is a practical feature. I have a separate digital thermometer to check the operation of the heater. So far it was there. It is completely closed, so the inhabitants of the aquarium are safe. A definite step up from the difficult to adjust and unreliable heaters I've had before. I will post photos/videos later and update this review if anything changes.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than other models
