We had a difficult time getting the pump to work. It seems like a great idea, but not easy to consistently get it to work. Sometimes we got it lined up right and it seemed relatively easy. The next time, we couldn't keep the pump lined up with the hole as we pulled the handle to actually pull air out of the bag. Because so many reviewed it so highly I thought we must be doing something wrong. We read all the directions and troubleshooting tips. Kept trying, but to me it's not worth the all the effort and frustration. We often could simply not get it to suck the air out of the bag.
