smooth and light show. Fits as expected; I wear 9.5 in most Altra shoes, 9.5 in Merrell Trail Glove 3 and 4, and 9.5 is perfect for these. The durable outsole and waterproof canvas-backed coating on the heel and toe allowed me to wear them as commuters in the cold/wet Northeast winter. The outsole can feel a little stiff for the first week of wear depending on the shoe you choose. If this happens, try them on a day off for a week or two and see if you get used to it. Plenty of lateral toe room and more padding on the sole than other minimalist shoes; I find the outsole comparable to the Trail Glove 3/4; You'll know there's a road, but you won't feel every pebble, such as with Xero boots (Xero are good too, but a whole different beast). These shoes have slightly less room for a vertical toe box; They feel a bit tight with thick socks, perfect with regular weight athletic socks or no socks at all.
