Knitting needles are a commodity of sorts, but in my experience the distinguishing features are that the sizes are written directly on the needles and they also come in a handy box. a storage bag to return them to after your project is complete for organizational and informational purposes (sizes are also on the packaging). I'm a beginner and a bit lazy knitter, so I prefer to knit projects with low concentration while watching recorded shows. For a project that required US35 (20mm) needles, I made a short cape out of two skeins of thick yarn. I was able to get this all done in a couple of hours in two days, although to be honest I was a little drunk and ignored house cleaning to get it done. I'm knitting and knitting slowly, stitch by stitch, like "Look. Find. Run." if you know what I mean. So if you're an experienced/fast knitter, you might be able to make a chunky project in a day or two with these big needles. Bottom line, the perfect big needles for those of us with short attention spans and looking for instant gratification. I recommend and thank the Revain reviewers for directing me to these great value needles!
