Bought for a 1994 Chevy Lumina. The car kept making a very loud grinding noise from behind. The reason is the fiberglass monospring that runs through the entire rear of the car. Wellies were originally cast on the monospring, but over time they wear out and if left uncorrected the fiberglass can crack and splinter, resulting in hundreds if not thousands of dollars in repairs. So they do what they do. between the fiberglass monospring and the metal they sit on, eliminating the grinding you hear. This is a wonderful purchase that I always recommend.
