Review on Epic Shield Water: The Ultimate Solution for Contaminant Removal by Crystal Reed

Revainrating 5 out of 5

ENSURE IT IS TURNED FULLY RIGHT (THIS IS A VERY HARD RIGHT TURN WITH A SECOND CLICK)

Leaking immediately after installation. The instructions for fixing the leak did not help. Using a food grade lubricant on the o-rings on top of the filter did not help. READING ANOTHER REVIEW THAT SAYS MAKE SURE IT'S FULLY ROTATED RIGHT (THIS IS A VERY DIFFICULT RIGHT TURN WITH A SECOND CLICK) FINALLY WORKS. You should bold this TIP in the instructions! Even once properly installed it didn't seem to reduce the pressure/flow rate much. When it stopped leaking, we ran a blind taste test between tap water, filtered water from a jug, and water passed through this filter. The water from this filter was secondary only to the filtered water from the pitcher. Since this filter has to be replaced less often and I don't constantly need the (two) cans to take up space, I think the effort and costs would be worth it. I will update in a few months.
