I often use this product for slicing tomatoes, onions and cucumbers. Very sharp and easily adjustable in thickness. Thickness cams and straw knives can be easily removed for cleaning. Thickness adjustment is one-way only, so be careful not to rotate with the guard in place or the straw blades may jam. Ask me how I know. Still the best mandolin slicer I've ever seen. I am glad that I bought this product. I highly recommend it.
