I use these stands to support my Audioengine HD6 speakers. These speakers are slightly larger than recommended for these stands, but still perform very well. Because a monitor is connected to a power source, they are heavier than traditional speakers of a similar size. The only downside is that although my speakers and stands allow the speakers to be rotated with a 1/4" screw, the position of the hole in the stands does not match. in the right place for the speaker. Not so hot what's up. Both the stands and speakers have foam padding that creates a high-friction surface. If you don't knock seriously, they're not going anywhere.
