I have an old bottle (circa 2002) which I like a lot but the straw was long and had a rim to the end so when I poured the smoothie in there was still some left Debris that eventually turned into mold in the middle of the straw. I thought about buying replacement straws but they were sold in packs of five and cost double what I paid for these straw cleaners. I figured I could always use these straws to clean other sports bottles and more and saved myself $5. The long straw cleaner worked like clockwork and easily removed the old residue for months. Would have no hesitation in recommending her to anyone!
