This is the fifth Aiyima product I have purchased and I am continually impressed by the level of ingenuity in their design. My previous brilliant experience with the Aiyima 5-tube bluetooth preamp led me to try this one. It's essentially a hybrid integrated amp that combines the superior efficiency of a Class D amp and a switching amp with superior tube tone. The best of both worlds in an affordable, compact, and cleanly integrated package. IMO tube preamps are an absolute must for Bluetooth audio. They completely transform the sterile, lifeless tone of digitized wireless audio into a relatively warm and natural tone. Performance wise this is more than enough for my B652 Air with lots of headroom. Very clean, no unwanted distortions. I usually prefer line-in, but I've tested Bluetooth extensively. No complaints. Pairing and instant connection with my Galaxy S21 and PC (Asus X570-I). Stable connection, no dropouts, excellent range. If you don't like the sound, there are a few simple tweaks available such as: B. changing tubes or operational amplifiers. I tried two recommended op amps as replacements but went back to the original. They clearly chose the LM4562 for good reason. The stock 6J1 tubes are actually pretty decent after some work, although I still prefer the Jan GE sound. Beautiful insides. High quality Nichicon capacitors, copper heatsinks, lots of SMD components. I'm not even trying to tweak anything. Highly recommended.
