I have more expensive "red" anodized squares, both long and short versions. They use 5mm graphite styli and are available in sizes/pitches up to 1/128". I bought this simpler square using regular sharpened pencils with a much smaller pitch for convenience. More accurate squares need to be stopped and checked each time - there are so many of them. small steps This should be easier to use.
