Versatile portable display

This monitor is a game changer for me. I was on the road for a long time and needed a portable yet fully functional setup. I can use this with my phone, laptop and gaming systems. There are so many different ways I can use this monitor, I've attached photos of some of the settings I've tried. Very happy with this purchase. What I liked: - Great picture quality in 1080P (WATCH THE VIDEO I posted, looks much better live). - Excellent speaker sound quality for size constraints (SEE VIDEO I posted but don't expect deep bass). - Light weight. switching station). - Includes a screen protector (this is a bonus). - Includes a cover that attaches with magnets and easily adjusts for viewing. corners. - Included instruction manual which is well put together and easy to follow. - Can run the entire setup from a USB battery and take this camping with you or use it in the park or anywhere. I have an Anker PowerCore 26800 that can run a monitor and charge my phone or switch. - Remains relatively cool during use (power supplies are external). - Great for using SAMSUNG DeX; - Turns my phone into a Chromebook (running Logitec MX). Master 3 mouse and MX Keys keyboard) and charges it while I use it. I am writing this review in this mode. - Disney+ and Netflix (in DeX developer mode) work great. Revain Prime Video DRM blocks video output. - Use DeX MAX app for better app viewing when you encounter problems. - DeX Screen Mirroring works great on Galaxy S8+ (less resources/battery than DeX for watching movies). - Great for Nintendo Switch (mainly why I bought it); - - Works great with Switch Dock via HDMI. - Works via USB-C mode and charges your Switch! (Be sure to use a switching power supply or other high power supply that can support the power drawn by this installation). **Note** YouTube audio over USB-C is not working due to an issue with the Nintendo/YouTube software (not the monitor's fault). All other switch/game audio files play fine. - Video games look great and it's very portable. Breath of the Wild handles this perfectly with a professional controller. Areas for improvement: - The included screen protector has no installation instructions. It's hard enough to put a screen protector on a phone, let alone a 15.6-inch monitor. I have a few dust bubbles but they are clear when used head-on or in low light. The screen protector is a bonus and not required, but can be factory made for even more value and protection - The "rotary" button for volume and video controls is probably a weak point, but it sits relatively flush with the power button The dual adjustment of the button up like the power button would be sturdier, cleaner and less prone to snagging on a backpack or similar. I wish the USB-C port (power?) was on the same side as the A/V jacks, but it looks like there probably won't be enough room to fit everything on one side with the speakers unit feeding . The power adapter (MKC-0502000SU) included in the kit is "cute". It costs $1.50 on Alibaba and is rated at 15W. To use the laptop as an extended desktop it would be fine to only power the monitor, but if you are using a phone/switch and a monitor , you really need a good quality 30+ W power supply (manual recommends 16+ W). The switcher with JoyCons consumes 12.1W, leaving not much room for a monitor with the included 15W power adapter. It is ALWAYS better to load the power supply less than it is designed for. This way you don't risk overloading your electronics and the power supply should also have better heat dissipation for safety and durability. All in all, this monitor is a beast for the price and offers so much more for productivity and entertainment on the go. .
