The bead stitch is key!

Yes, you can dye this yarn. I bought it in two colors and they work like any colored yarn. You MUST use moss stitch. Any other pattern will NOT work. Colored yarns tend to be very accurate in the length of color variations, but you can use any colored machine-dyed yarn for dyeing, not just splicing yarn. As long as you keep the number of stitches of the same color the same for each color AND adjust every other row to be a stitch of the same color, your yarn will pool. It takes a bit of guesswork to get the first four rows right at the beginning of the pattern. I always start with the number of chain stitches I need for everything, end in the middle of the third row, count how many stitches my colors don't match the first row. l, add or subtract by one, multiply this number by two. , Frog on the chain and add the same number of chains. It should be perfect.
