Review on πŸ’‘ GE Lighting 60311 Energy Smart Bright from the Start CFL 11-Watt (40-Watt Replacement) 450-Lumen G25 Light Bulb: Efficient and Long-lasting by Colleen Jackson

Revainrating 3 out of 5

A small 40w dimmer

Firstly the light type of these bulbs is a very nice daylight yellow light and I was pleasantly surprised. The brightness is definitely lower than a 40 watt incandescent lamp. I don't know if it's as low as 25 but it's close. If you can imagine 30 watts, that's all. I am trying out lamps for my bathroom and need 6. Three 75w GE Refresh lamps is tantamount to too bright. I can only think of all 6. I would get less power on them, but neither could. I'd like GE to provide all types of lightbulbs for all of its lines, rather than mix and match - a few guys for Reveal, a few guys for Refresh, etc. Anyway, I'll try to get five more, but I think they do be too dark. GE CFLs turn on almost instantly, but they cycle on and off within a good ten minutes. I think they use a halogen starter which I'm not keen on as the halogen gets too hot if you ask me but what are you going to do these days? .
