If you just need to record video, this works very well. I captured wild gameplay and it looks great. I also captured some footage of Castlevania but for some reason this game had a little problem. I connected an extra splitter to the mic input to record 2 mics, but this unit doesn't seem to be able to record 2 mics at the same time, even with a splitter. I tried using just one mic but it was very quiet and barely audible. I checked the mics and splitter on my computer and they work fine, but this product seems to be of poor quality for recording mics. The video quality is excellent for the price, but the audio pickup from the microphone is very disappointing.
