Review on FAERSI Front Left Driver Side Interior Door Handle Kit for 2007-2014 Silverado Avalanche Suburban Tahoe Cadillac Escalade GMC Sierra Yukon Pickup Truck - Replaces 20833606 by Travis Oetting

Poor design or wrong set of inside door handles for a 2012 Silverado LT with extended cab.

Multiple problems such as:1. The outer top edge of the kit body/frame did not fit into the protruding inner plastic edge/edge of the original door panel. I had to shave off the top edge of the kit's body to match the lip; Otherwise the body/frame of the kit would not lay flat on the door panel and the screws included in the kit would be too short.2. After completing the modification mentioned in point 1 above, the body of the kit still did not stick to the door panel. The raised portion of the kit (with a round metal bushing inside that was larger in diameter than the car's original bushing) prevented the bushing's nose from going through the original hole in the door panel. So I had to modify the hole in the door panel by widening it with a drill and drill bit. Otherwise the screws included in the kit would be too short and the body/frame of the kit would not fit snugly against the door panel.3. After making sure that the body/frame of the kit lay flat against the door panel (after removing the plastic rivet heads with the router bit provided), I found that three of the six screw holes in the body/frame of the kit were not aligned . with rivets. So I had to drill these three holes in the body/frame of the kit before I installed all six screws.4. After installing the doorknob, I found it very loose and sloppy, but it works; although it doesn't even come close to meeting my expectations. As a temporary solution to this problem, I wrapped tape around the metal lever between the plastic door handle and the car's inner door panel (filling the gap about 1/4 inch between the handle and the door panel), which provided a snug fit. . Now I'm looking for a nylon washer to fill the 1/4" gap if the stock kit lasts some time. One final note: buying cheap can sometimes cause unwanted problems. While this kit may work well with other Silverado/Others Year models worked, it didn't work for me.
