I really wanted to like it.

The first day was promising, but things went wrong soon after. It's not a bad machine and probably excellent for things like wheatgrass as others have pointed out. It turns soft foods like grapes, berries, lemons, etc. into a pulp. But it works better with grapes than other citrus fruits. Leafy greens sometimes wrap the snail up nicely, then follow with the tough veggies to push through, besides, what if all you want is veggies? Works great with small, hard veggies like ginger root and turmeric. I've found it does the best job of juicing red peppers, but it can't handle carrots and roots. After just a few days, it started making those high-pitched squeaks and those random, weird spins. Both plastic and metal parts were stained and discolored after just a few days of use. The auger is already breaking (chips and scratches everywhere) so I had to order a replacement. I paid $101 for this machine and it comes with a very 'limited' warranty. If you're on a tight budget and use it sparingly you should be fine, but if you want juicing to be a part of your daily routine, it's better to save money and buy quality. Omega has a 15 year guarantee. Paying $300 to $400 isn't so bad if you know you're going to be good until 2034. Why waste $100 on a crappy product.

  • Pleasant
Cons
  • Generally good, but...
