As previously mentioned the supplied filter/strainer/strainer does not fit the supplied pump. In my case I have a Honda Civic 88-91, the pump fits perfectly and matches my old strainer. The new screen appears to fit a 92-98 Honda Civic (? not sure), the mounting tab is incorrect. Carefully! If I just snap the strainer onto the best fitting one and stick it in the tank, it bangs on the side of the tank and cuts off the fuel flow significantly. Or I can cut off the mounting tab to rotate the screen to the correct angle, eliminating the need for a lock washer and hoping vibration doesn't loosen it. In general, reusing the filter will void the warranty for this type of pump. I don't know what this seller thinks about it. Luckily I still have a new screen to match, the pump was a very reasonable price.
