You probably won't disassemble an engine or build a kilometer of barbed wire with this device, but it does a good job of small things around the house and especially on the go. I'm a flight attendant and one of the hardest days for me was the day I had to put my leather pants away when I went to work. On an airplane, a multi-tool comes in handy countless times, from tightening the latch to locking the wheel on the reel. It's not a leatherworker, but it's great for tightening screws, opening blister packs (why do people sell headphones in airports and then put in a pack that can't be opened without a knife?), and similar small tasks. I carried it through airport security multiple times and no one batted an eyelid. It meets all the criteria for an item that has passed security checks. So grab one, hang it on your keychain and forget about it until you realize it's so much better than nothing. FYI I haven't had any issues with it falling off my keys as others have reported. In fact, when I received it, it was so tight that I treated it with some dry Teflon grease to make it easier to open. I could see it happening once the handle unfolded, just like the jaws on the pliers. A simple solution would be to wrap it with a rubber band or even tape.
