My girlfriend gave me her 3 watt, yes 3 watt gun to glue some pine cones for a door wreath for Christmas. I figured it had to be better than that. Saw Dewalt in HD, read the reviews and kept rattling the scales up until then. I thought hot glue guns were something for crafting, but no. I've actually seen a locker at work hot glue drawer fronts and line them together (European style cabinets). When they looked even and the glue had set a bit, he pulled out the drawer and screwed it on. It was easier than the last time I tried to pinch her. Much faster. Glued on some blind strips and it was easier than gluing. I think it lasts as long as any other type of glue. I increased the temperature to make the glue more liquid. I need to glue some granite aprons and will be using these instead of pl2000 or liquid nails which take longer to cure. at least and no more drops. I removed the wire stand and then found that it was better that way. It takes a few minutes to reach full heat. The sleeve is good too otherwise it gets crushed in the back of the van and there is room for extra glue sticks. I like it
