I think the thing works fine but it's not what I expected. It's just a silicone sleeve for your current face pad. Feels weird on the skin, but I think it's ok. In any case, this does not change anything in terms of comfort, since the lining at the top is the same as the old one. It only makes it "cooler" when you first put it on your face and gets warmer when you leave. I'll probably switch to leather, but that works great in a pinch. then you don't need it either. it's more like "let's just make everything out of silicone and sell it".
