Review on ๐Ÿงผ X-Haibei 1.2L Flexible Silicone Soap Loaf Mold for Homemade Candle Making Supplies by Amy Mcleod

Revainrating 5 out of 5

It's fine, but retaining walls are required

I'm a keen soap maker but I usually try to recycle molds from other containers. I wanted something reusable and durable so I finally settled on this one as an economical option. It works, but there are a few things to note: Its full internal dimensions: The product dimensions listed are a little misleading - its maximum capacity is around 55 ounces of soap, not 2 pounds as other reviews say. My 2lb batch gave me about an extra inch of room at the top - the long sides will flex if you pour ALL of it in, but the ends hold up well - VERY easy to squeeze soap out of the mold with minimal effort, which makes this mold is better than most I have used. For myself, I cut open a small shoebox to build cardboard support walls to help the mold hold its shape. My first batch without the cardboard retaining walls was a little thick in the middle, which is fine, but not exactly aesthetically pleasing. I think a little support would help a lot. Overall, this is good form for the price, but not perfect. With a little help, he does his job quite well. The best part is how easy it is to pull out the soap. 3/5 stars for a good price but poor construction.
