So, I have 3 Chihuahuas and a German Shepherd in my house. One of the Chihuahuas is rescued, she was about 7 years old when we adopted her. She barks at the slightest sound, she barks when she thinks she is alone. she just barks. Ultrasound really works, all dogs hear it and I use it to get dogs attention when following older chihuahuas and it tends to get their attention if I pick it up right away but I think the sound has to tweaked a bit because they really need to pay attention to acknowledging that they're hearing it. I know it says there are 3 different types of waves, but that doesn't matter. I like that the device is small and fits perfectly in my hand, and I like the beep sound that draws dogs' attention. It's easy to charge and I like the flashlight function, but I wish it was a little brighter. Overall, it costs around $24.99 at the time of writing this review. This doesn't work for every dog, so keep this in mind, but it does get your dog's attention. Their ears are pricked and they look my way when I press the button. I don't know how it would work with stray dogs approaching us, but if the other dog is aggressive I think it's not big enough.
