Perfect replacement for a damaged existing light. The product states it can be submerged in water but what this basically means is that when your trailer is lowered into the water an air pocket is created in the housing which keeps the lights and cords dry. In particular, this is NOT a hermetically sealed attachment. So if you need or want a sealed light fixture, you need to look around for other models. For what it is it seems to work well. However, as I needed to replace an existing headlight on an old trailer, the wiring harness was not compatible with my old system so you may need to make some modifications (which I did).
