
Clamp angle in closed position is approximately 235 degrees. When fully open, its angle is between 305 and 360 degrees. You need to lower the clamp counterclockwise from 360 to 235 degrees, lowering the clamp also pushes the clamp against the valve spring. You can't get leverage to compress the spring, very poor design. I fiddled with this clip for 45 minutes and only removed 1 valve spring and that's because the valve retainers just fell off when the spring was compressed enough. I couldn't snap this clip.
