To say that this lens is very, very good is nothing to say! It's a very well built and really nice lens that can be mounted on any camera. Despite its compact size, the image quality is truly cinematic with smooth bokeh and lens flare control. Focused breathing is literally not a factor. Despite all that, the realization that such a lens can be had for less than $400 is a real boon to any independent filmmaker working on a tight budget. The entire line of T2.2 cinema lenses comes at the same price of $399, which is great marketing for filmmakers on a budget who want higher image quality. I use this 50mm lens on my JVC GY-LS300 cinema camera. The only cinema camera with a Super35 sensor paired with an MFT mount. And yes, that means the Mieke 50MM MFT T2.2 completely covers the Super 35 sensor! With this camera capturing images at 24fps, this lens is literally the perfect match, especially for interviews. Both the focus ring and the aperture ring rotate 180 degrees very smoothly, allowing for smooth adjustment. This lens is a range of MFT cinema lenses that are the best you can buy for the money.
