Review on 🔌 TP-Link Archer T1U AC450 Nano USB Wireless WiFi Network Adapter: Windows/Mac OS Compatible, 5GHz Only, Black by Alfonso Wilson

Delivery was very quick - received next day after ordering and it was Sunday! Kudos, mostly for restoring my internet access. My laptop's network card failed because I couldn't even see it in the list of adapters (when I went to the control panel). TP-Link Archer USB WIFI worked fine. Why not 5 stars? Well, it didn't work with my Windows 10 "Plug and Play" (it said on the box that it was compatible with Windows 8). So I had a Catch 22 situation where I had to go online to download their Windows 10 drivers and I couldn't with my laptop. Luckily a neighbor was home and helped back up the trunk onto the USB stick. . My son also reminded me that I could connect my smartphone to my laptop with a USB cable and set my smartphone up as a hotspot for the laptop to access the internet for drivers. Last unknown - when I booted up the laptop this morning, it "frozen". Tried booting twice to no avail. Since the USB WiFi was the only change, I took it out of the laptop and voila, the laptop booted up at the usual time. BUT here is what is unknown, the laptop was connected to the internet even though I didn't connect the USB wifi. So it seems that my laptop couldn't complete the download because it couldn't negotiate the two internet options. That way my NIC didn't get completely burned. I will keep this USB WiFi as a backup. Update January 18th: Adding another star as I didn't know the box had drivers on CD until I was about to scrap the packaging box.
