Okay, here's the breakdown. About 8 balls were in excellent condition - no discoloration or surface damage. The rest of them were discolored to varying degrees, but only about 15 showed significant surface damage. Significant means I can feel it very easily without running my fingers over it more than once. Even the damaged ones seem usable and not too problematic. I'm not a big or frequent golfer but from other reviews there are some good quality balls here. There are 20 B330 RX bullets in the intact but discolored group (which to my knowledge is the premium version of the Bridgestone bullets). For someone like me, that's about what I expected - a couple of good or good balls in normal condition that I'd happily lose, and a couple of well-hit balls that I'd use on high-risk holes (which is just both covers). To me). I would definitely buy it again because it's probably the best you can hope for at a deep discount on used balls.
