I have used it more than a dozen times since I received it in early December. It works great. This machine is mainly used for hard vegetables and not for leafy vegetables or fruits. Definitely not for fruit. For leafy greens I ordered a refurbished Omega 8003 Horizontal Slow Juicer. This creation looks like it will last a lifetime, parts and motor. I only drink about 2 cups at a time per person. That's all you need. And when I turn it on, I don't leave it on. The key to this machine's longevity is the short fire button. I'm probably saying that it takes less than 20 seconds to turn on every time I use it. I bought a refurbished one. I buy refurbished for all machines. Works great and I have no problems with it. Why spend more money on a new one when you can buy a used one for less and it will work just as well? This is not a problem! This machine is best for ginger, carrot, beet, cucumber, squash and the like. Remember, definitely not for fruit. Either eat your own fruit or use an old-fashioned manual juicer. If you want to start juicing I would buy this cheap juicer and an omega 8003 or 8004 for leafy greens especially wheatgrass and an old fashioned manual juicer. citrus press. That's it for the raw vegan appetizer. Updated November 3, 2017. I've had this car for almost two years and it's a beast. I went from 2 cups of juice a day to about 6-8 cups a day. I went to a cheap store and bought the cheapest apples for juice. I also make juice from peeled cucumbers, carrots and celebrities. At all meals, I add an inch of ginger, turmeric, and paprika. I have never felt happier or healthier in my life. For a sub $50 car, this is definitely a life saver. 95% of my diet consists of plants. It took me 2 years to reach this level. In about 2 or 3 more years I'll be the healthiest person in the universe, fully juicing and blending (a cheap blender will do, no ice to break the blade). Even though I'm 39, I feel like I'm 13 again. My lower back problems are gone. Countless other health and skin problems have disappeared thanks to daily juicing. Judging by the speed of operation of this machine, I say that it will serve me for at least 5 more years. So that's 7 or more years for a car that originally cost me less than $50! Crazy cheap! I'm definitely happy.
