These very cute collars do the job perfectly. As long as you provide a good fit (behind the ears) they are a great tool for teaching your dog to walk on a leash. I highly recommend doing some research on using martingale collars as a training tool before purchasing this collar as if used incorrectly it can teach the dog bad leash behavior (ignoring the leash pressure) and can even harm the dog (any slippery leash, barbs or martingale collar has potential). As long as you are aware of leash training, align yourself with the training, and use it as a tool, it will work wonders! My new 1 year old puppy learned to walk on a leash in 2 weeks. She went from high thrust to prey, throwing herself to a perfect heel at all moving objects with little gulping when aroused. And she did it in style!
