Review on ๐Ÿ’ก Enhance Your Vehicle's Visibility with KC HiLiTES 355 Cyclone LED Universal 2-Light Under Hood Wiring Kit by Keith Stuckey

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I was blind but now I can see

Nice set that fits in the engine bay. Unfortunately cars with headlights don't seem to drive the bay anymore, but there's a lot going on under the hood so I need a light to see what I'm doing without headlights. The kit includes (almost) everything you need for a clean install. I have a 2016 Tundra and the wires are not long enough to fit neatly through the hood vents. So I had to connect an extra line to make the distance. The liner was excellent quality and not some flimsy plastic tube that breaks in a year. You can tell it will hold up to environmental wear and tear for years. Once again the kit didn't last long enough for me so the parts I had lengthened stayed exposed but I'll come back later and cover them up. It has enough shell for what is included in the kit. I would suggest getting zip tie spacers. So if you can't hide the cable completely like I can, at least you can get it out of the way. A good quality toggle switch (a plunger switch would be nice, but you can always add one later. Also, I like being able to turn it off when not needed). The lights themselves are amazing. You can tell that KC really cares about their products because you can see their logo silkscreened on the circuit board. This means it's not something off the shelf that they reuse, it's a habit for their quality. Two lamps are more than enough to fill my compartment, no matter how big it is. I was concerned that I would need another extra LED strip, but the way I positioned them fills every nook and cranny with light. I could have put this kit together (almost) but the quality of the parts you get makes it cost more of my time and money than it's really worth. Would buy it again for other purposes.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
