Installation was easy and simple! Installed on my 2018 Colorado ZR2. Just a note. small sticker saying "Hood" with light badge not included. I got this from another project. I bought another kit to fit my wife's challenger.

Why didn't I look for this sooner. Now I will get this kit for all our cars. Great product and the instructions were very helpful. YouTube by KC HiLites was also helpful and very detailed. It took me 30 minutes and I spent most of my time thinking about where to place the light. Super simple and works great to light up the engine bay at night.

I've fitted them to 4 different hoods on the same truck over the last 4 years so I've fitted them several times. I still expect some warping or some indication of thermal effects on my engine (supercharger, manifold) but every time. Nothing. After 4 years and repeated removal and installation, they are still like new. The switch remained in the same place and was installed on the wing by the battery (Fig.). I cannot praise the quality of KC products enough. In addition to the excellent construction, these lights are very bright and easy to install. I hooked mine up to an auxiliary fuse box for power. I mounted the switch bracket over what I believed to be my rocker relay on the left side of the engine bay next to the battery using the same bolt that secures my aftermarket hood lifter bracket and rocker relay bracket. Nice set that fits in the engine bay. Unfortunately cars with headlights don't seem to drive the bay anymore, but there's a lot going on under the hood so I need a light to see what I'm doing without headlights. The kit includes (almost) everything you need for a clean install. I have a 2016 Tundra and the wires are not long enough to fit neatly through the hood vents.
