Review on πŸ›’οΈ FEL-PRO OS-30813 Oil Pan Gasket Kit by Justin Heynoski

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Gasket failed in less than 24 hours

I installed this gasket per the instructions provided, hand tighten, wait 1 hour then torque to standard torque then wait 24 hours before adding oil. Less than 24 hours after the car was first started, oil started leaking in my path. When I lifted the car and removed the under engine cover, I saw that the gasket was sticking out of the gasket flange. See attached photos. Notified Revain/Seller of a refund and the seller charged $3.54 to return the defective item. So this faulty seal not only cost me hours of work to install and remove, but also to send it back to the seller and charge me for the return postage. Terrible buying experience and hopefully this review will save you from the same mistake and ordeal with a bad seal as you can see in the photos. One bad link in the chain is enough for the whole chain to go bad. I would prefer not to pay the cost of returning a faulty seal that failed through no fault of my own. I bought it believing it would work as advertised, but instead it didn't work and cost me more than it was worth. I recommend you get Permatex Ultra Black with maximum oil resistance for gasket manufacturing instead at Walmart for around $6.00 and save time and $ over this gasket.
