This is the part on my Toyota Tacoma that was making a horrible whirring sound on cold starts. I looked at the OEM part and it looks the same. Took me 30 minutes to switch and the noise is gone and the truck runs fine. The only small flaw is the gray electrical connector on this part. It was undermolded and ripped when I had to put it in the brace. Still saved hundreds and works fine. Now it grinds on a cold start like a worn factory part after 12 years. I recommend buying an OEM part. It costs over $700, but you can pick it up from some retailers for around $450.
