Nice view, diffused light

I put it on the window to the neighboring house - only 3 meters between our houses, and the windows are on the same line! (Not the best job of planning that area in 1950.) In any case, I didn't want to look directly into her kitchen from my living room, and most importantly, I didn't want to be constantly watched in my living room when someone was on her kitchen. or even at the entrance. For years I'd had a curtain or blinds drawn or a drape in front of this window, but I hated having that curtain down the whole timeโ€”partly because it blocked the light, but mostly because it looked so "pulled." or closed to always keep the shade taut. I really hated it. This privacy film is a great solution: it completely blocks any "look" in or out of the window. You can clearly see if someone is standing in front of the window, you can see traffic, cars, etc., but no details. When I'm outside, I have to be very close to the window so that someone outside can even tell that I'm in the room - basically you can only tell if the light is inside and if there is movement outside the window. . They absolutely can't tell WHO is who, WHAT they're doing, what they're wearing, etc., only fuzzy, fuzzy figures, and only when they're only a few feet from the window. The film ran smoothly and looks really great. , even close-ups. I later joked with a friend at my house about having to cover one of my windows with "plastic" and she got confused thinking the window itself was textured glass (like they sometimes make bathroom windows). ). I measured EXTREMELY carefully before cutting with a good metal square and a new blade on the utility knife to get the edges looking really good. The only reason the edges don't look 100% perfect (if you look closely) is that there is a small amount of clear sealer or sealer or something on the window itself that bleeds through a bit where it's sealed. around the frame! a certain amount of light (compared to plain uncoated glass). It's like the difference between a sunny day and a cloudy day - just diffuse light instead of bright. I actually like it because now I don't get harsh glare from daylight or annoying bright flashes from the headlights of cars driving down the driveway. In general very satisfied. Easy to install, simply peel off to remove, no glue required. It doesn't flake off from temperature changes or anything else. A great way to get away without having to look like a tightly draped recluse.
