High Quality, Easy-to-Use External Drive/Recorder

The drive was packaged securely in a small box with foam liners; Included in the box was a USB cable that is permanently connected to the back of the drive and a user manual that offers a unique promotion when you buy your Wi-Fi home security camera drive or wireless mini mouse for free. The drive is called NEC DVD+-RW ND-6500A 202C. The plug and play feature just plugged the drive into my Sony Viao Windows 10 laptop and it worked without any issues. The drive does not come with media software but works great with the recording and playback software that came with my laptop. I tried the burner by ripping and burning a 116 minute movie onto a blank DVD-R and it worked great at 4x max speed which took about 30 minutes plus another 15 minutes for additional data checks. The copied movie will be played back in the same quality as the original. I've played DVD-R, DVD+R, printable DVD, Lightscribe-enabled DVD, and a few retail movie DVDs, all of which played without issue. I played music CDs with no problems. While the drive was playing the DVD, I gently moved the drive to get it onto the tabletop without any tracking issues. This drive is not designed to play Blu-ray and will not play BR film. The only minor downside I found was that the drive mechanism was a bit noisier than the internal drives in my PCs, possibly due to the smaller case size, but this didn't impact video or audio quality. All in all a great external CD/DVD drive/recorder.
