Great starter kit!

I'm a beginner, I bought plastic needles (on sale) and a set of metal needles at a craft store. My mother suggested bamboo. Individually, they can get expensive, so I gave this set a try. I like the bamboo needles best, the needle pair is a bit bent, but that doesn't affect the knitting. I also love having all the tools!
