This strand of sisal rope was perfect for my project. I had a scratching post that needed the rope replaced as my cats ripped the factory installed rope and scratched it. This 50 foot roll was enough to cover a 2x4 that was about 18 inches high leaving about 6 inches. It's very easy to use, but I would advise using the longest staple your construction stapler can hold. Cats scratch their perch all the time and this rope helps. I bought and installed the rope in February 2016, it is now December 2016 and it looks like new even with constant scratches. I highly recommend this rope for cat wood projects and anything else you would use sisal rope for.
